Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

Well - I'm a painter and writer (German language only). Last year when I decided to go 3d with the visual parts of my art I was searching for a not so expensive way to start with it - this is why I came to polymer clay.

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

There are many very skilled doll-makers and polymer clay artists - but I cannot say who of them gave me the fist kick.

What is your specialty?

Mermaids, Fairies, Baby-Mermaids & Fairies, friendly little Dragons

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

It's easy to handle and comes in a lot of nice colors

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

No

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

None. As I told you - I just started in 2001. But who knows, what to come next?

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

Skill will allways improve, if one really tries hard enough. So I hope my art will become more experienced, nicer to look at.

Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Do it for the fun of it. If you love your work yourself, the audience will love it too.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

I am alone in a desert ... no, just kidding. Just did not look for a group till today.

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

FIMO is sold at most stores at my city. As I do work at polymer clay sculptures only occasionally, I wanted something which I can buy the moment to idea comes to me.

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

I'm 47 this year, librarian by profession, I do have absolutely no training as an artist (which never stopped me from doing), live with husband in a small town in Germany and if you would like to see all my art-work please visit the main index of my homepage.
