Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

Discovered it in the 90's, so I've been using it that long. It was always my favorite animation material. You can keep it soft with a light coating of olive oil.

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

Laika, Will Vinton, Patrick Boivin, Ozgurcan, Mamshmam, Knoxskorner1.

What is your specialty?

Clay animation and music composition.

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

It is stretchier than traditional wax based clay.

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

Not at this time.

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

One of my films, "Storytime With Pram" appeared on MTV in Italy.

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

I want to be a more developed and experienced animator, and move somewhat beyond clay to get the full scope of what is possible with new limitations.

Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Practice makes perfect, but perfection is not required to entertain your audience. Story is the most important thing.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

No

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

Sculpey III for its brilliant color range. Also like Super Sculpey because it can be used in animation or to make the skulls for the heads of clay puppets to be sculpted over.

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

I've spent a lot of time studying animation, both classic 2D and traditional stop motion. I'm originally from Seattle but moved to Portland a decade ago to follow this dream.
