I have been using polymer clay since 1997. I started with a class with June Goodnow and then one with Jack Johnston.

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

I am inspired by Hildegard Gunzel, Eva Helland and Lorna Miller-Sands.

What is your specialty?

I mostly make babies and children but have also done elderly characters.

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

I enjoy making one of a kinds and you can get such detail with polymer clays.

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

I have been published in the gallery section of Contemporary Doll Collector magazine.

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

I hope to be a full time dollmaker and teacher by fall 2003. I hope to someday have an instructional book on how to sculpt a baby in polymer clay.

Don't give up and keep practicing. Just have fun with it and do what your heart tells you to.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

I am a member of the professional dollmakers art guild (PDMAG) and american academy of doll artists (AADA)

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

I mostly use prosculpt and cernit. I like the look of the cernit for the lifesize babies. I like the texture of prosculpt for my small 4 inch babies.

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

I have been an artist all my life using various outlets for my work. I am currently concentrating on the clay sculptures and pencil portraits. I am a wife and a mother of two boys. I have taken classes with many artists and viewed many videos and books. I am always looking for ways to learn and grow and hope that I can someday help other artists do the same.
