Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?
In art school i started beading to make extra money. Then my mom taught me how to make canes three years ago.Polymer clay has been my choice of medium ever since.
Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?
My mother and the artistic genes she gave me. I am always speechless after seeing Cynthia Toops work.
What is your specialty?
Beads, beads, beads
Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?
I'm a colorist at heart, how could I pass up a medium with such endless color possibilities and immediate gratification. I also love the process of making beads without any equipment other than my hands, a razor blade and pasta machine.
Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?
I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?
I've never entered a contest.
What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?
Well, as time goes on I hope to improve my craft and learn to express more of my personal voice into my work. I'd like to devote the next five years to getting into galleries and shows as a serious polymer clay artist.
Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?
To keep experimenting and don't worry if a few bad beads pop up. And learn as much about color as humanly possible, it's the life blood of good polymer clay work.
Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft
No, not at this point.
What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?
Sculpey III & Premo
Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your
