Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?
I was looking for an easy way to preserve sculptures without having to mold the piece. Found regular Sculpy then Super Sculpy, then finally the colored and effect clays.
Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?
I'm self taught in polymer clay with the aid of many great tutorials and books available. Dinko.
What is your specialty?
Character faces and animals incorporating milefiori.
Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?
With the variety of color and easy sculpt properties of polymer clay the possibilities are endless and limited only by our imagination.
Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?
I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?
I won first and third place at the San Diego county fair in 2008 and was featured on the El Paso news "Spotlight on Clay".
What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?
Supporting myself through artistic related endeavors.

Keep learning and have fun, take a class and don't get discouraged.

Brand doesn't matter so much to me. I look more at color.

I work and live currently in Phoenix, Arizona. I collaborate on art dolls with my partner Sue Blattner and create my own original pieces in my spare time. I have a son in the US Army and a Daughter in college.
