Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

I am a full time Mom and part time artist. A friend made
sculpy creations and taught me, just for fun! Now I do it a lot in addition
to my other art projects.
Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

My friend Virginia and a college prof of mine.
What is your specialty?

Exterior Christmas displays, pencil drawing and now, Sculpey.
Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

There is no limit to what my imagination can create.
Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

No.
I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

No, but I won a local award for my Christmas display at a
historical Inn.
What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

A lot more art and a lot less housework!
Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Go for it. If you can imagine it, you probably can make it
with Sculpy.
Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft
organization?

No.
What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

Sculpey only. It is softest and easily worked, and comes in
lots of colors.
Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your
training?

I studied Illustrative art in college.(The University of
Akron in Ohio) I learned there that I hate being creative on demand. Now
that I freelance, I do art when I feel like it and not on somebody's
schedule. I'm married with 3 children and when I'm not working on an art
project or chasing kids I do Theatre.
