Email Address/Web Page: CBEARNO6@peoplepc.com
City & State: Tucson, AZ
Type of Craft: Mostly Animals/anything

Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

My aunt saw me working with play-dough. She brought me Sculpey when I was 6 years old. I've been using it ever since. I am 40 years old now.

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

No

What is your specialty?

Mostly animals, but I really enjoy everything. I used to do only miniatures when I was younger, about 25 years ago. My work has gotten bigger through the years

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

It is so forgiving. You can do almost anything with it.

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

No

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

No, I've never entered any shows/contests. Maybe someday.

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

I hope to have my own line of designs, webpage, shop, and to make a living with clay. I've always believed it's where I should be.

Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Never give up trying. Don't keep your mind in a box. Polymer Clay will take you places you never dreamed you'd go.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

No I just got online, I never knew there were so many people like me.

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

Sculpey. Since I was six. Now super sculpey for its ceramic like finish.

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

I've had no formal training. I am very interested in talking to anyone about techniques in baking, inside wire supports, finishing and anything I can learn. I'm open for any ideas. Please E-Mail me.
