Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?
A new neighbor introduced me to Sculpey in 1990. I was hooked. Then came the discovery of Maureen Carlson under an hour away. That's all it took.
Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?
Maureen Carlson, who I taken many classes from over the years and the newsgroup rec.crafts.polymer-clay who through many swaps gave me the courage to get published.
What is your specialty?
Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?
I just lose myself in it. There is always something new to explore. The challenges are endless.
Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?
No books. I've been published in Crafts Magazine and won a contest in Country Marketplace. Just sold 3 more articles to Crafts Magazine in 1999.
I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?
No awards, too afraid of judging. Been on TV but for a makeover, I sure could use another one.
What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?
To continue to grow in knowledge and to have more clay friends.
Five years from now I hope to live in Hawaii. (Just kidding)
Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?
There is so much info in the internet. Also take classes.
Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft
What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?
