Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

While watching CarolDuvall and Crafters Coast to Coast kept seeing all these people making these neat things out of clay and I thought I can do that. Been claying ever since, maybe 6-7months

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

Oh yes, there are two artists that have inspired me and encouraged me every step I have taken - Nora Jean Gatine and Michele Holly.

What is your specialty?

Well, I mainly do sculptures now but I still enjoy painting with polymer clay.

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

Where do I start? Polymer clay is so versatile - you can sculpt it, stamp it, paint with it, mold it, and after curing you can carve it, and not to mention cover anything that can take low heat and doesn't complain, lol.

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

Not as of yet but that isn't out of the question, maybe in a few years

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

I haven't entered any judged contests as of yet but that is coming soon and as far as TV not sure I'm ready for that.

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

I expect to get better at my art and in the near future to have my pieces in galleries.I woud very much like to be known as an artist in fine arts.

Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Don't be afraid to open that first package of clay. Roll it in your hands, smoosh it, get used to the feel of it. Make something and smoosh it make something else and smoosh it. Practice, practice, practice, and above all have fun.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

I belong to two wonderful and helpful groups City-o-Clay and Polymer Clay People.

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

I perfer Premo for the strength and the color selection and it's workability

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

I have been creating things for as long as I can remember - sometimes I think I was born creating works of art, lol. I have been a waitress, a real estate agent, and a truck driver. I'm retired now and I'm a full time artist.
