Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?
20 years ago while teaching adult wood carving to adults. I was getting many requests to teach children Woodcarving.I decided to look for an alternet for children which turned out to be super sculpy front from the sculpy company.
Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?
Carl Capps a former Student and also Brian Duhart a former student; Millie Funk, artist.
What is your specialty?
Bears in their habitat. And human figures Done with humor and realistic.
Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?
Sculpy is easy to teach with and is good for all ages.
Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?
No but I have had offers from a publishing company.
I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?
No, I don't compete with my students in shows. I have had several students win best in show in multi media. The shows had more than 500 participants.
What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?
I will still be putting off retiring.
Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?
Yes, go out and take sculpture classes. Or take workshops from Carl Capps. Look him up on his websites.
Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft
No I don't have the time because of all the classes I am teaching.

Sculpy, it has types of clay for all needs.

I am 70years old and I have been in all mediums for over tweny years. My wife Sharon and my son have been very supportive all these years.
