Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

A friend of mine was into sculpting dolls and it looked like fun. That was 5 years ago and have not looked back.

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

Jack Johnston, Annie Wahl, June Goodnow,Jodi and Richard Creager, Jaine Lamb are just a few who inspired me.

What is your specialty?

Characture dolls mostly old people from all walks of life. I also do portraits, Santa's, sexy old lady's and some trolls.

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

To take a blob of clay and make it into something and have people smile and appreciate your work is great. I have tried cernit, sculpy, creall therm. Never mixing them.

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

No.

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

July 1997 - feature artist in Puppen International. March 1998 - The new VR T.V. station did a story on me and dolls. Many dolls in Debut Contemporary Doll.

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

To be recognized and taken serious as a art doll artist.

Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Every doll I make I learn something new and each doll is better then the last. Don't give up. I have good days and bad days.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

Professional Doll Makers Art Guild

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

Cernit. I like working with it and the finished doll looks good. Sculpy is easier to learn with and dosn't need kneading.

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

My Husband and I own a Florist shop and we are open 7 days a week and have 3 teenagers. SCULPTING is my SANITY. The nicest people I have ever meet in the world are doll artists!
