Freelance:  Yes
Specialties:  Intricate caning (what I call Precision Caning), various other millefiori canes, inros, detail work
First Experience With Clay:  I actually have used PC for many years, but only in an amateur scultping way. Then I ran across a book and was swept away when I found all that could be done with clay. I had been focused on a very limited use of the clay, and when I found it's possibilities, was awestruck! So, I've only been into this intense work with PC, but have modeled with it and other clays for 25 years.
Past Teaching Experiences:  My teaching history over the last 25 years has been varied. This history includes teaching craft workshops, womens group classes (from life-skills to cooking), Michaels Crafts classes (Polymer Clay), youth groups (in crafting and life-skills) and in the Public School System, grades K-12 (as a Substitue Teacher). I've been involved in creative ventures all of my life, including painting, sewing, beading and floral design.

Words of Encouragement to Novice Teachers:

"My belief is that if you are passionate about a subject, you can teach it well! There are many people who would love to be taught what others know, no matter what 'level' the teacher is at. There is always a student for every teacher."
