Balloon Vessel: Small vessels of irregular shape are easily made using the balloon method. Essentially, an air-filled polymer clay balloon is formed. Shaping is easily achieved using the resistance provided by trapped air within. In addition to the clay, the only equipment needed is a sharp blade.
Donna's book has excellent step by step directions for making a simple balloon vessel, as well as directions for covering vessels, weaving a vessel, making unlined vessels, creating a mosaic bowl and making a box..
Balloon vessels have also been referred to as PINCH POTS.
