Tell us in your own words, how you discovered polymer clay and how long have you been using it?

I have been using polymer clay for 6 years. I saw it at a craft show and was intrigued by it.

Are there any special artists that you can attribute your interest to or that have inspired you?

no one in particular. I have mainly relied on my natural talents for creativity.

What is your specialty?

Whimsical jewelry and small ornaments.

Can you tell us why you find polymer clay the expressive medium for you?

It's fun and easy to work with. I like working with my hands.

Have you published any polymer clay books or do you have any in the works?

Not yet, but I am in the process of putting one together.

I know it is very difficult to express, but have you won any awards for your polymer clay work?

I do a number of craft shows every year that are "juried" and I have been approached by several exclusive business owners to have my items sold in their stores.

What are your expectations for the future? Where do you hope to be 5 years from now?

Hope to be selling my wares on the internet, and have at least 2 books published.

Do you have any advice for the beginning polymer clay enthusiasts?

Keep at it and PRACTICE!! Do not get discouraged if your wares do not sell the first year. It took me 2 years to "perfect" my technique and style. I am still learning, though.

Are you a member of any Polymer Clay group,or any other craft organization?

No.

What brands of polymer clay do you prefer and why?

Sculpey III. Because it is very easy to work with, and the colors are bright and hold up well after baking.

Last and most important can you tell us all about you? Your family, your training?

I am a happily married wife of 14 years. I have 3 beautiful daughters (2 of which are twins!), the oldest of which is following in my footsteps...she LOVES to sculpt clay!
